How to remove "Comments Off" from index.php

We have deactivated comments but it persists in showing “Comments Off” in the Latest Posts feed on index.php. How can I disable this entirely?

I found this suggestion, and tried 3 different plugins, but none worked as advertised.

I was able to remove the function from single.php but this front-page issue is hiding from me.

I finally found the code in inspiro\inc\template-tags.php so my issue is resolved.

Not sure how to remove this post from the forums, but perhaps someone else will find it useful.
